The good folks at the New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute at New Mexico State University are convening a conference, Transboundary Water Crises: Learning from Our Neighbors in the Rio Grande (Bravo) and Jordan River Watersheds.
It will be held 22-23 January 2009 in Las Cruces, NM, on the NMSU campus. There is no registration fee, but you must register.
Access the conference program here. There is a good group of speakers: Mike Barber, Shlomi Dinar, Mac McKee, Ron Lacewell, Gary Woodard, Neda Zawahri, Bobby Creel, Alfredo Granados Olivas, Stephen Mumme. These are the ones I know personally and they are top-drawer.
I don't see any discussion of ground water. I hope that it is in there somewhere; it's part of the transboundary watershed discussion.
