The foundation I started, the Ann Campana Judge Foundation, just received a report from a project it funded in Honduras and I thought I would post it. The work was performed by Living Water International, an excellent hydrophilanthropic group based in the Houston, TX, area. [Disclosure notice: I used to be a hand pump repair trainer for LWI.]
The ACJF awarded $12,000 to LWI; $5,000 of that amount was donated by the National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation (NGWREF), the charitable arm of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA).

Take a look.
I'll be traveling to Central America this June to visit some projects the ACJF previously funded in Nicaragua and Honduras, and assess some potential projects as the ACJF has some money to award. I'm looking forward to the trip; it has been four years snce my last visit and I miss the place.
Water Resources Program graduate student Evan Miles will accompany me. Both of us will first present papers at the Groundwater for the Americas conference in Panama City.

Hi, Bunny.
Thanks for your comment.
I do not know how long the communities had to wait for well repair. Yes, locals have been trained in repair and maintenance.

Inspiring report. Thanks for sharing. How long did the communities have to wait for repair? Are any of the local people now trained to fix the wells in case they break again? It seems that local expertise would be important.
