ISARM 2010: Transboundary Aquifers Conference in Paris

All things freshwater: news, analysis, humor, reviews, and commentary from Michael E. 'Aquadoc' Campana, hydrogeologist, hydrophilanthropist, Professor Emeritus of Hydrogeology and Water Resources Management in the Geography Program of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University and Professor Emeritus of Hydrogeology at the University of New Mexico. He is Past President of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA), Past Chair of the Scientists & Engineers Division of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA), Past President of the nonprofit NGWA Foundation and President and Founder the nonprofit Ann Campana Judge Foundation, an organization involved with WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) in Central America. ISARM 2010: Transboundary Aquifers Conference in Paris

Just received official notice of this conference and the call for abstracts. It will be held in Paris, 6- 8 December 2010.

I can handle that venue.

Yours truly and colleague Todd Jarvis are on the Scientific Advisory Committee.

The conference's formal title is Transboundary Aquifers: Challenges and New Directions. The conference will mark the end of the first phase of the ISARM Programme and the start of its second phase.

ISARM stands forInternationally Shared Aquifer Resources Management, and is joint program of UNESCO's International Hydrological Programme (IHP) and the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH).
