Just received this from John Sauer at Water Advocates.
As you know World Water Day is quickly approaching. This year a coalition of nearly 30 diverse groups from the global safe drinking water, sanitation, hygiene [WASH] and health sectors has come together to raise awareness and call for stronger commitments and more robust action to ensure universal access to safe water and sanitation everywhere they are needed and to save lives.
This coalition has developed some great opportunities for you to show your support and get involved. There are opportunities to take action here in Washington, DC, as well as from from your computer, BlackBerry or iPhone. Please visit here to find out more.
If you plan to be here in Washington, DC, around World Water Day, there are two key events happening on March 23 that we need you to participate in: World Water Advocacy Day and The World's Longest Toilet Queue. The details for these events can be found below. To register for the events or to find out more information, visit here. We hope you take advantage of these opportunities and spread the word about the importance of safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene education.
Also, shortly before World Water Day we will post social media messaging on the website for you to use, so please check back and post on Facebook and Twitter. In the meantime, you might consider participating in a World Water Day Writing Contest being sponsored by the Pulitzer Center. Lastly, if you are planning on writing or blogging about World Water Day, please let me know at [email protected].
Thank you for your support. I look forward to seeing many of you on World Water Day.
Sincerely,
John Sauer
