A few weeks ago I posted about Escuela Técnica de Agua Potable (ETAP), a school for Nicaraguan water technicians run bythe NGO Agua Para La Vida.
At that time I offered a challenge: Mary Frances and I would match any contributions made to our hydrophilanthropy, the Ann Campana Judge Foundation, and earmarked for ETAP, up to a maximum of $5,000 (for details, go here and scroll down to the last paragraph).
So far the ACJF has received $3,600 in ETAP donations (thank you Gilles, Todd, Andrea, and Gayle!), so that's a total of $7,200 that the ACJF will donate to ETAP. We're still seeking donations for this challenge grant - 31 August 2010 is the deadline.
And speaking of Nicaragua, the ACJF has just awarded $12,000 to Living Water International to rehabilitate wells in six vaillages.
