I received this email from Alexandra Frischmann:
I came across your blog WaterWired and many other involvements of your. It’s really great work!
We at travel2change, a non-profit organization who aims to connect travelers and local communities to create sustainable change, were wondering if you could also write a blog post for us?
Our goal is to foster responsible travel that can create a positive impact on local communities and offer support in a sustainable manner. Our current idea challenge is around the themes of water and travelling. For more information on us please go to www.travel2change.org.
Would be great if you are interested! [Note: I am!]
You can have a look at another thought leadership article on our blog!
Thanks in advance for your consideration!
Kind regards,
Alexandra Frischmann
Travel2change is a nonprofit organization with the mission to connect travelers, organizations, and local communities in order to initiate change in a sustainable manner. An interactive website is the starting point for this collaborative effort. The goal of travel2change is to capitalize on the potential of travel to make a positive difference in the lives of travelers and local communities alike and to create projects that will have an impact and foster sustainable change. While the organization is rooted in Austria, it seeks to make an impact globally.
T2C's support appears to come from Kuoni, an upscale travel company based in Zurich.
Seriously, this looks worthwhile; students especially may be interested.
Here is some information about how to describe a successful idea.
And the proverbial flyer about joining: Download Join_T2C_Flyer
The deadline for submitting your idea is 19 June 2011.
Okay, Alexandra, there's my blog post!
