I had to change the title of this post.
Like most of the rest of the baseball world, I thought the Texas Rangers were en route to a 2011 World Series victory in the sixth game in St. Louis last night. But the Rangers could not put the Cardinals away. Twice down to their final strike, the Cardinals came back from the dead to tie the Rangers and then won in dramatic fashion in the 11th inning on a walk-off home run from homeboy David Freese, who earlier had tied the game 7-7 with a two-run triple in the 9th inning.
Another Game 6 for the ages.
And as fate would have it, Cardinals won it all tonight, 6-2 over Texas.
