My paper issue of the Canadian Water Resources Journal (published by the Canadian Water Resources Association, to which I belong) just arrived and I was struck by the title: Prediction in Ungauged Basins (PUB) Workshop on Temporary Streams.
The title struck me because I don't recall ever hearing or seeing the term 'temporary stream' in a technical context before, although it makes sense. It includes ephemeral, intermittent, and episodic channels (see Introduction below) and is a nice, generic term.
