Neville Isdell Opines on Coca-Cola, Water, and Other Issues

Neville Isdell Opines on Coca-Cola, Water, and Other Issues

Neville Isdell, former Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola, gave this talk at Georgia Tech last fall. He speaks for about 30 minutes, then asnwers questions for about 35 minutes. He starts talking about water and related issues about 17 minutes into his talk.

During his talk he says this about water:

It is the one key ingredient that has caused more wars than anything else in history.

Not true if he means 'real' (shooting) wars between nations. Hmm,...Isbell's been listening to too many of the wrong people.

Coke's new water strategy is to put as much water back into nature and communities as it removes by 2020. So Coke seeks a 'zero net water footprint'. Here is a story on its corporate strategy of water stewardship.
