I received this from CAWST, a Canadian nonprofit.
In fairness to my home country, the USA's total use has declined since 1975 even though our population has increased by more than 80 million. Per capita water use has declined by 30%.
That's still no excuse for using as much as we do. Puzzled why water in 'soil' (okay, I won't fuss - but it should be 'underground water' or just 'groundwater') is not counted as 'readily available for human consumption'.
