Hydrophiles, the student water group at OSU, is an amazing group of future water professionals. The conference they convened last month was a resounding success. They have been recognized as the outstanding AWRA Student Chapter for the second year in a row; they also serve as the AIH Student Chapter. Hydrophiles holds a plethora of activities each year, designed mainly to make students feel comfortable, relaxed, and to enhance their educational experience.
And, oh yeah - they go to school to boot!
They were kind enough to present me with this beautiful objet d'art, a nifty nail-and-string wall hanging with a water drop inside the state of Oregon:
Thank you!
I don't wonder why I am still enjoying teaching at age 65. It's a no-brainer with folks like these around.
