We were fortunate to have two of the world's experts in the field of transboundary hydrogeology at the recently-concluded AWRA conference, The Science, Management and Governance of Transboundary Groundwater.
A few days ago I posted the presentation of Dr. Alfonso Rivera - click here. Today it's the presentation from Dr. Neno Kukurić, Director of the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre in The Netherlands. His exceptional keynote address, 'Aquifers Before Borders', follows:
Here are a few of the slides:

Hi, Shammy.
We missed you but certainly understand that you had other things on your plate. Good luck with the world water crisis work!

Shame I could not attend this meeting - I was in Balochistan, setting up a €40M programme for the Revival of Balochistan's Water Resources. It's an arid to hyper-arid province, with many small but highly exploited transboundary aquifers.
Next opportunity for me to raise the issue of transboundary aquifers will be at the meeting of the World Federation of Scientists as part of the New Manhattan Project on the World Water Crisis.
