Had a wonderful time with Elaine when I visited Reno last week. Always enjoy chatting with her - she's one of the 'smartest kids' in the room.
Here is a picture of my current postdoc and former doctoral student Maria Gibson (aka Groundwater Geek) receiving her diploma at Oregon State University's graduation on 17 June. She is an amazing woman who overcame some obstacles that were placed in her path. I had the privilege of 'hooding' her during the ceremony.
Congratulations!
And I love those shoes!
Do you know of a colleague and/or student who would be interested in receiving these Bulletin Board listings? Please forward this to them. A quick email to Geosciences-BBoard@att.net with the word “subscribe” in the subject line and the email address will be added to the weekly distribution.
