Enjoyed educating a few of my younger colleagues on some useful old acronyms: KISS = Keep It Simple, Stupid!; GIGO = Garbage In, Garbage Out; OWG = Old White Guy/Gal/Girl; SNAFU = Situation Normal All Fouled Up (sanitized version); BSO = Bright Shiny Object/Bullshit Organization.
Forgot one of the 'old' acronyms: FUBAR = Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition (sanitized version). When I taught these to some foreign students, one from a former USSR state volunteered to use it in a sentence. "My country is FUBAR!" was the enthusiastic response. My reply? 'WTF'?
