Great to hear from good friend Kai Olson-Sawyer. He's got something to share.
Before I post the new material he sent I want to post this PDF of short (4 pages) article he and Robin Madel published in the recent issue of Water Resources IMPACT: 'Learning to Tread Lightly: Water Footprint Education and Water Risk'

Now for the new material!
I’ve returned, and this time to let you know that we’ve just released two new web apps, namely the Water Footprint of Food Quiz and Water Footprint of Food Guide. The first is a short, engaging quiz that can serve as an entry point into how food and water are connected, test people’s understanding and point them to helpful resources. Next, The Water Footprint of Food Guide, provides information about the water footprint of more 100 food and beverage items.
Below are the links to the tools as well as a link to a promo piece that explains them in greater detail (including how to use Guide):

Water Footprint of Food Guide methodology can be downloaded as a PDF from this webpage: https://www.watercalculator.org/footprint/water-footprint-food-guide-methodology/
Thanks again for sharing this and giving some space to the topic of water footprints. As it mature as a concept and discipline, there are many more ways for it to expand, including into methodological disputes! (see attached below.) Although water footprinting was well on its way before his untimely passing, it’s unfortunate that Arjen Hoekstra isn’t here to continue to shape it and witness its growth.

Please check these tools out and feel free to share them on WaterWired and throughout your networks. Also, let us know if you have any comments or questions..
As always, I appreciate your work!

Kai
