Happy World Water Day! I received the material below late on 21 March 2023 so I thought I would paste it in for you to access. I am unsure all the links will work. You can sign up for daily updates here. This is the first UN Water Conference in NYC for almost 50 years!
Dear fellow water champions,
Tomorrow morning, the halls of UN Headquarters will be filled as the world unites for water. I look forward to seeing and hearing from so many water advocates and champions. I have been impressed by the immense interest we are seeing through participant registration, the number of side events, and the number of Member States and other stakeholders who will speak during the plenary sessions. I wish everyone involved a collaborative, transformative and inspirational Conference, and hopefully one that will be remembered for the action it took.
Best regards,
Mr Li Junhua, Secretary-General of the UN 2023 Water Conference and Under-Secretary-General of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs

In Dushanbe in June 2022, the world made their demand clear: water action, now. An outcome of this meeting was the Water Action Agenda which has since been filling with commitments from Member States, IGOS, NGOs and other stakeholder: commitments to water action, commitments to collaboration and cooperation, commitments to a just and sustainable future. The Water Action Agenda does not reflect where we are, but where the world wants to be in terms of achieving SDG 6 and in turn the entire sustainable development agenda. Have you made your commitment? Here are some examples to inspire you from the Conference co-hosts: the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
