G. Tracy Mehan III, a frequent contributor to WaterWired and executive director for government affairs at the American Water Works Association, sent me this document that provides a review of the recent and ongoing regulatory actions that impact the water sector. It covers many legislative and regulatory developments currently relevant to American Water Works Association (AWWA) members but is not an exhaustive compilation. It is largely a summary of federal developments; water systems should monitor state-specific legislation and regulatory implementation, as well as federal developments. It is 61 pages long and even contains information on Canadian regulations.
