I hope all is well with you and that you are looking forward to the AWRA annual conference in Fall 2024.
We are building an IMPACT issue around selected presentations and would like to include yours. See below. We would need your article in early May c.10 May.
Information for Authors
Water Resources IMPACT is a bimonthly magazine (not a journal like JAWRA). That doesn’t mean it’s not as good as JAWRA; the two cannot be compared. Issues are generally, but not always, structured around a theme. We often link an IMPACT issue to a conference and seek articles from the speakers. Our articles are short: 800 – 1500 words are what we seek, although there is room for longer articles. The articles should be written in a conversational style. We seek graphics (with captions and sources). References are fine but not listed at the end as is done in a journal; we want the authors to embed them in the text with a URL.
Authors are listed at the end of the article. The bios are 50-75 words and give the author’s affiliation and email address as a minimum. The authors are also listed right below the title; degrees or licenses are not listed there but can be in the bios at the end.
I would urge you to look at the IMPACT issue from January 2021 on Wicked Water Problems. It is one of our best. See how it’s done. The link is at the bottom. There is also a link to our most recent IMPACT, Jan-Feb 2024, Navigating New Opportunities to Create Resilient Water Resources
We are soliciting articles for our May-June 2024 issue. Article should be related to our April 2024 and March 2024 conferences: Water Risk and Resilience: Research and Sustainable Solutions (April) andGeospatial Water Technology (March)

Submit your article to me as a Word .docx. We have our own editor, Krysia McClain, who is a professional editor.
